Commissioning Art

Often we are asked to do special commissions and we enjoy this part of our work best! Once you have an idea of what you would like – say a chandelier or garden sculpture, think how much you would be prepared to spend, what size you are looking for and any ‘theme’ you have in mind. This helps us get started on the process.

Prices for chandeliers start at $10,000, table top sculpture at $5,000, wall art is determined on space. You can telephone or email us to talk through your ideas and we will come back to you with one or two suggestions. Once we have agreed the concept and approximate cost we will ask you for a 10% design fee. Eventually we will all agree on size, materials, price and delivery date. This will take between 4-8 weeks. You will then be asked for 50% of the final agreed price and the commission will take a further 8-12 weeks to complete. Delivery will take place after final payment.

It’s an organic process and you may have further questions, so will we – but we are very flexible and will work with your highest vision in mind. Most adjustments along the way will be accommodated and occasionally if further cost is involved we will discuss it with you and have your agreement before making a change.
